Managing Director

Milestone Partners is seeking an experienced real estate executive to join its growing Co-GP investment platform. The ideal candidate should have a background in private equity acquisitions with a demonstrated track record of originating profitable opportunistic investments. The new managing director will have the unique opportunity to help shape the culture and long-term direction of the firm. This position offers a tremendous amount of flexibility and a best in class work-life balance. Salary, bonus, and participation are contingent on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Originate new client relationships and investment opportunities;
• Negotiate term sheets, joint venture agreements, purchase agreements, loan docs, and all other relevant documents;
• Lead the execution and closing of new Co-GP investments; 
• Support the asset management and business plan execution of the firm’s portfolio;
• Actively, rigorously, and graciously train, mentor, and mange subordinates;
• General management and leadership responsibilities.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of private equity or investment banking experience;  
• Access to a broad network of sponsors through existing personal and business relationships with a proven ability to source new investment opportunities and relationships;
• Familiarity with all major real estate asset classes;
• Demonstrated commitment to maintain professionalism in the face of deadlines with the ability to consistently communicate progress updates to the team; 
• Outstanding character in both personal and professional life;
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills;
• Familiarity with Argus, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Powerpoint; 
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills;
• First tier bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field;
• First tier MBA or master’s degree in real estate or related field is preferred but not required.
