JOB SUMMARY
Directs and manages the work activities and staff responsible for identifying and maintaining customer relationship data and providing support and technical assistance to Finance, Line of Business and Client Care teams. Provides project management leadership for national and global Financial Systems projects and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and manages multiple Financial Systems teams that are responsible for identifying customer entity relationships and troubleshooting and developing solutions to support reporting systems used by Finance, Lines of Business and Client Care. Responsible for training, development, and performance evaluations of direct reports, and assists in establishing performance objectives for department.
Identifies, analyzes and recommends to senior management enhancements, additions, and changes on technical, software and/or process-related projects.
Manages and supports the development, tracking, and implementation of Financial Systems process efficiency and technology projects on a local, national and global level from idea to implementation.
Oversees and ensures all project and process enhancements are in compliance with acceptable accounting practices and applicable internal and external policies and regulations.
Participates in the development and monitoring of benchmarking and metrics to assess and manage direct and indirect labor costs on projects. Advises manager on resource constraints and impact of labor constrains on project timelines.
Presents and/or delivers project updates to senior leadership committees in formal presentations, both verbal and written.
Partners with training team and ensures that all developed training meets the needs of the identified system users/audience.
Provides leadership for post-project implementation support to ensure that support is appropriate and measurable.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
QUALIFICATIONS

Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, MIS or related field required. A minimum of eight years' experience financial systems management required. Demonstrated expert knowledge of financial management systems. A minimum of 3 years prior supervisory or management experience.
Lean Six Sigma Green, Orange or Black Belt certification preferred. Project management training and/or certification preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to explain complex systems and accounting concepts and issues to non-systems users. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the business' financial issues and economic impact beyond technical accounting knowledge.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires advanced level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). Expert knowledge of knowledge of financial management systems. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service. Must work well under pressure with proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences. Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and openness to new ideas and procedures.
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Develops, recommends, and implements functional operational programs and procedures. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
