Our client, a prominent, national, commercial real estate mortgage banking firm seeks a talented multifamily capital markets executive to build a Southeast/Florida based/focused Agency/Capital Markets presence for the organization.
With a very broad, comprehensive platform consisting of strong balance sheet, agency, cmbs/life capabilities and very long standing partnerships/relationships across the industry, this company provides a very lucrative opportunity for a strong producer.
Reporting to the executive leadership team, the senior mortgage banker will have an opportunity to use a tremendous suite of products, solutions and a collaborative production process to drive a successful multifamily debt capital markets program throughout the Southeast/Florida markets.
Proactively originate long term, multifamily real estate debt solutions on behalf of organization’s platform of agency, life and CMBS partner relationships.
Develop a comprehensive strategic business plan to grow the organization’s multifamily debt capital markets presence and brand recognition throughout multiple geographic markets in the southeast.
Collaborate with relationship managers to strengthen existing banking relationships.Work closely in co-managing the existing portfolio of maturing loans and work with these clients to strategically position the organization to convert to long term debt solutions.
Actively represent the organization in the marketplace at industry functions, trade group events and all local/regional brokerage community events.
Oversee the preliminary loan review requirements for each opportunity. Review and approve the initial loan sizing (pricing and terms).
Undergraduate degree required. Advanced degree desirable.
Several years of experience in the multifamily real estate lending, mortgage banking or mortgage brokerage industry. Proven track record of successful loan production.
Exposure to Fannie, Freddie, Life and CMBS lending products/relationships.
Strong desire to sell and produce business opportunities in the Southeast region. Must have a strong connection and since interest in residing in the state of Florida/market. Preference is the Tampa area, but client is flexible on location.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Skilled negotiator.
Excellent business acumen – strong analytical skills.
