                                                                                                                                                                              Established and rapidly expanding Burlington, MA, commercial real estate (CRE) firm seeks a highly motivated Asset Management & Finance Associate to join our entrepreneurial team as we continue to expand our portfolio through strategic institutional partnerships.  The role presents a unique opportunity to work closely at the ground level on a diverse portfolio of CRE assets and transaction types.  This individual will perform a wide range of responsibilities while gaining exposure to RJ Kelly’s Executive Team and institutional partners through the presentation of investment analysis and reporting materials

 

Primary Focus:

 

  • Assist with the asset management of a 6+ million SF growing office/flex/industrial/self-storage portfolio
  • Assist with quarterly investor reporting and play a lead role in updating and maintaining asset management models
  • Assist with ad-hoc investment, major lease, debt, recapitalization, and disposition analysis
  • Assist in the transition of acquisitions from the Investment Team to the Asset Management Team

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in operational, construction, development, and internal and external leasing meetings
  • Work closely with Asset Managers to maintain ongoing asset management models through updating actual financial results, Argus models, and re-forecasting of future assumptions for operating and development assets
  • Play a supporting role and eventually take the lead in the completion of quarterly investor reporting materials
  • Assist the Executive Team with transaction-related activities such as dispositions, major lease analysis, and recapitalizations
  • Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Financial Operations on ongoing portfolio valuations, financing and covenant compliance analysis, completion of capital calls with equity and debt partners, and other ad-hoc needs
  • Gather and maintain market lease information.  Maintain an ongoing lease and sale comparable database and tenants in the market list for each of RJK’s geographic investment regions

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

Technical:

  • 2-4 years experience at a CRE owner/operator, on a CRE investment sales team, or at a private equity firm
  • Highly proficient in all aspects of MS Office with advanced Excel skills required
  • Argus experience
  • Strong background in finance and accounting
