Job Title: Campus Planning and Property Coordinator

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Remote Work Schedule Possible)
Rate of pay: $30.05 - $33.05 per hour

Seattle Pacific University is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Campus Planning and Property Coordinator. In this role, you will collaborate with the AVP for Facilities Management to manage approximately thirty rental properties, support short and long-range campus planning efforts, and serve as the primary liaison for neighbor relations.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the management of non-student housing rental properties, acting as the key liaison with external property management companies.
  • Lease faculty/staff transitional houses and provide recommendations on the strategic use of university-owned property.
  • Maintain official property files, facilitating smooth transactions related to property purchases or sales.
  • Support the implementation of the university's Major Institution Master Plan, serving as the primary contact for standards, conditions, and requirements.
  • Coordinate internal short-range space planning activities, including committee meetings and strategic planning updates.
  • Oversee neighbor relations, promoting positive relationships between the university and the local community.
  • Assist with departmental emergency planning efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of progressively responsible office experience with a focus on planning or property management.
  • Knowledge of real estate transactions and document preparation related to property transactions.
  • Two years of professional experience in business writing, proofreading, and editing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and manage conflict resolution.
  • Active and maturing Christian faith, supporting the Christian mission of the University.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project), and experience with Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in urban planning, space planning, real estate development, and construction.
  • Familiarity with institutional master plans and the ability to read Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

  • Position is open until filled.
  • This is a 32-hour per week position with a hybrid remote work schedule (must reside in the state of WA).
