Real Estate Asset Manager

This is a HYBRID position in the office 2-3 times a week. The right candidate should live in the Memphis or surrounding area. Maintains responsibility for acquisitions and dispositions of Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare real estate holdings and ventures.  Provides oversight and lease negotiations for non Methodist owned lease renewals and newly executed leases including planning in order to provide and maintain modern, adequate, efficient facilities for present and future medical office functions.  Ensures that facilities utilize needed land and building as intelligently, efficiently, and economically as possible. Manages and oversees all real estate projects providing centralized planning and control to ensure consistency.  Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Education/Training & Experience:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in applying complex technical principals, concepts, and techniques.
• Extensive skill and proficiency in communications to include speaking, listening, human relations, and writing.
• Analytical ability to develop concise, detailed and logical analyses related to capital acquisition.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Administration, physician’s practices staff and external suppliers. 
• Ability to lead and motivate individuals and groups to achieve work requirements and organizational goals.
• Ability to operate standard office technologies, including Windows, spreadsheet analysis and word processing.
• Ability to organize and work independently and to follow through with minimal supervision.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Identifies and analyzes real estate holdings of current and future space needs for acquisition and disposition.
• Works in conjunction with corporate and brokers to facilitate Methodist real estate needs.
• Serves as Project Coordinator for all external MLH leases/renewals, acquisitions and dispositions.

Supervision Provided by this Position:

• Supervises the property managers, property management coordinator and applicable building maintenance associates.

Physical Demands/Conditions:

• Frequent travel to Methodist Healthcare non-acute facilities and potential acquisition/disposition sites. 
• The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Must have good balance and coordination.
• The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
• The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
• The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
