Aareal Capital Corp. is seeking a Credit Middle Office administrator to support Loan Origination and Credit Management.  Credit Middle Office ("CMO") is responsible for the correct funding, closing and accounting of the Bank’s CRE Loan Portfolio through its daily coordination with Back Office, Finance, and its External Servicer. 

We are looking for a candidate with excellent written, technical and communication skills. Said candidate will be in constant contact internally with the legal, credit and origination teams and externally with our customers and external servicer.

Aareal Capital Corp is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aareal Bank AG, a publicly-traded bank based in Germany that focuses on commercial real estate lending in North America, Europe and Asia.  Aareal Capital offers mortgage and subordinate financing and has a CRE loan book over $8 billion.  Target markets include Boston, NYC, DC, Chicago, San Francisco, and L.A. 



This position will perform the following core CMO functions:

  • Reconciliation of Debt service (Principal & interest payments). 
  • Random Quality Control check of payments made to ACC for high-risk customers
  • Financial Document Collection
    • Tickler Set-up
    • Filing critical documents in Bank’s Electronic Filing Systems
    • Coordinator / Problem Solver
  • Collateral / Security management
    • Collect Final Recorded Security Documents
    • Perform QC Review and Prepare Status Report
  • Compliance
    • Collecting / Filing
    • Borrower Documents
    • Servicer Analysis
  • Hedges (rate cap review)
  • Perform QC Review of Credit Register for all credit decisions related to the Loan Portfolio

Qualifications

•           Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Law with a minimum of one year of work experience

•           Excellent filing skills

•           Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel  

•           Attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills
•           Organizational and time-management skills

•           Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
