As a member of the Management Team, the Director of Acquisitions, will report to and assist the Co-Managing Partners in developing real estate acquisition and development strategies for the company. The primary focus of this new position is to evaluate/assess potential real estate acquisitions, divestitures, development and re-development maximizing profitability for the company and its investors. The Director of Acquisitions will research, evaluate, and analyze options and information that will lead to optimal decision-making for real estate acquisitions & development.
DESCRIBE THE PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand opportunities in the US to acquire and develop multi-family communities that fit the Uncommon’ s vision, thesis and innovation thesis.
- Evaluate/assess potential real estate acquisitions, divestitures, development and re-development considering profitability for the company and its investors.
- Acquire and/or develop superior multi-residential properties that will provide stable, long-term growth and profitability.
- Source under-utilized properties in top tier markets with upside through development.
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance the property portfolio and to mitigate risk.
- Provide executive management with advice on the implications of real estate activities.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of real estate trends and forecasts.
- Create and manage processes for real estate portfolio’s statistics/data, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Raise capital through private and public channels.
- Contribute to the development of investment offering memoranda.
REQUIREMENTS:
A Real Estate Professional with at least five to seven years of experience and a demonstrated track record of success in real estate acquisitions and divestitures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in related field.
Years of Experience:
5+ Years of proven acquisition experience required
Special Requirements:
· Working knowledge of contract law, zoning law and real estate finance •
· Strong financial analysis skills
· Must be a motivated, self-starter with ability to productively work in a team environment effectively communicating and sharing information with people in other departments within the company
