Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop a vision with support of the Board that can be executed upon.
  • Manage business operations for Project REAP.
  • Responsible for fundraising for Project REAP.
  • Manage the REAP budget, ensuring that spending decisions are aligned with priorities and goals.
  • Oversee the work of all staff and contractors to ensure that all programs are consistently aligned to Project REAP's vision and mission and performing at a high level.
  • Support the REAP team to develop individually and organizationally as leaders.
  • Conduct regular observations and attend programming events to provide regular feedback to local program volunteers, to ensure they are performing at their full potential, and continuously learning and improving.
  • Oversee all REAP communication channels, including social media platforms, to increase program visibility and public engagement.
  • Support the collection of programmatic data (such as, without limitation, alumni demographics and career focus) to allow for rigorous measurement and evaluation of program outcomes.
  • Maintain effective, collaborative relationships with corporate partners, including creating MOUs, setting expectations with corporate leadership, and managing issues and conflicts as they arise.

 

Fundraising and Board Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of donor relationships by building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with existing and prospective donors.
  • Solicit individual, corporate, and foundation gifts, and manage large fundraising events.
  • Lead the REAP board in leveraging their support for fundraising activities, partnership development and programming support.
  • Sustain the local programs by raising the funds necessary to execute and deliver the programs in conjunction with board & volunteer assistance.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Committee to develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan, maximizing local opportunities around corporate, foundation and individual giving.
  • Leverage and balance the time spent by the REAP board members and other organizational leaders on high-impact fundraising activities.

 

General Management

 

  • Manage, oversee and be accountable for all administrative records and reporting.
  • Responsible for managing and acquiring all necessary administrative systems and resources. Responsible for managing all consultants and contractors.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Board as to the general health and wellbeing of the local programs, including honest and realistic assessments of what's working and where additional support could be helpful.
  • Interfaces regularly with the REAP board’s Executive Committee.
  • Lead local risk management, ensuring that regional operations and programming are in line with laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain connections with Executive Directors of other programs in other cities with a constant eye toward collaboration and connection.
  • Contribute to the REAP board on issues of organizational strategy and direction.
  • Implement the strategic plan endorsed by the board.
  • Serve as a nexus point between the local program volunteers and the national organization, contributing perspectives, and communicating the impact and import of national initiatives and decisions on the local context.
  • Support the learning and development of staff across the organization by delivering professional development sessions and helping to develop structures to improve REAP’s work nation-wide.

 

Key Selection Criteria:

 

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success building and leading a small organization or team in a fast-paced, direct-service, nonprofit organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to target a message to a variety of diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify donors and cultivate relationships leading to substantial commitments from those donors.
  • Track record in successfully and positively managing other people.
  • Experience and expertise supporting training programming, preferably in the field of real estate.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities at one time.
  • Commitment in the execution of this position.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, advanced degree preferred. This job is currently remote, but will require some future travel.
