Benedict Canyon Equities is a $4.5 billion multifamily investment firm based in Los Angeles that focuses on acquiring and operating apartment communities in the Western U.S. The firm specializes in value-add and other opportunistic multifamily investments and is known for being entrepreneurial and creative. Benedict Canyon is searching for an Acquisitions Associate to be based in Los Angeles. *Candidates residing in Orange County are also encouraged to apply.

The Acquisitions Associate will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer and will have a broad array of responsibilities, including:

• Sourcing multifamily investment opportunities in assigned markets of the Western U.S.
• Working closely with members of a team that include analysts and a transaction coordinator
• Oversight and preparation of the underwriting of investment opportunities
• Oversight and preparation of investment committee memos and related documents
• Regular communication with brokers, principals and other multifamily professionals
• Frequent travel that will average 4-8 days per month

The ideal candidate will have the following prerequisites:

• Possesses three or more years of multifamily acquisitions experience or multifamily sales/lender brokerage experience
• Has a transactional background in major markets in the Western U.S.
• Has developed key relationships in the industry (i.e. brokers & principals) that create deal sourcing opportunities
• Possesses abundant multifamily underwriting experience
• Possesses a degree in finance, accounting or similar major

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 with the opportunity for a discretionary bonus.
