Financial Analyst

Muirfield is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will allow the candidate to work directly with the Senior Management team in evaluating, underwriting, modeling and performing due diligence on strategic, opportunistic real estate investments, sponsors and operating companies.  The analyst will also gain firsthand experience in asset management, investor relations and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze potential investment opportunities.
• Create, model and maintain Excel and other files on an investment by investment basis that will require periodic updates, changes in market assumptions and adjustments to operating expenses, capital disbursements, changes in the capital structure, leverage analysis and other assumptions as needed.
• Help in the preparation of investment summaries, Investment Committee materials, due diligence summary materials and other investment presentations and analyses as needed.
• Assist in the coordination of all due diligence activities as well as the closing process.
• Create, update and maintain a weekly investment pipeline.
• Support Senior Management in preparing and distributing investor updates
• Other responsibilities include research and analysis of US commercial and residential real estate markets nationwide, overall trends the commercial and residential real estate sectors as well as trends in the debt and equity markets.

Requisite Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external contacts.
• Strong Excel modeling skills.
• Strong background in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and PowerPoint).
• A working knowledge of Argus cash flow modeling is preferable.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Detail-oriented team player with a strong work ethic and good organizational skills.
• Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to take initiative.
