Banyan Residential is seeking a full-time development analyst to assist with prospective deal underwriting and general development execution work. Established in 2018, Banyan specializes in Opportunity Zone deals and has an active development pipeline of over 1,000 multifamily units, 250,000 SF of office and 20,000 SF of retail, and are seeking new development opportunities in gateway US markets. Responsibilities will include general financial analysis including new deal underwriting and PPM/investor pitch deck creation, as well as development execution work including architectural design team/project management, entitlements, JV structuring/negotiations, book keeping/accounting management, financing, and more.
Candidates must have 1-3 years of prior real estate finance experience (real estate financial analyst, investment sales analyst, investment banking analyst, etc.) and be familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Candidates need to have an established understanding of real estate finance concepts (discounted cash flow analysis including waterfall modeling).
This is an opportunity to join a lean development group (two principals) and obtain broad-based development execution experience across multiple product types. Less than 12 months after its founding, Banyan has developed a strong pipeline exceeding $400M and will continue to grow.
