Description
This job provides analysis, research and perspective based on client and market intelligence to enable senior leaders and CBRE investment sales professionals to strategically approach clients. As a member of the national Capital Markets leadership team, the job plays a critical role in the preparation of client meetings and in developing tools and reports leveraged by CBRE investment sales professionals when pursuing new business and providing best in class client service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret and add value to internal intelligence, including CBRE's historical transaction records, client relationship mapping and optimizing the enterprise client relationship management system
Incorporate external intelligence gathering into comprehensive client and market analysis to include client portfolio of real estate assets, corporate structure, credit profile, financial filings/investors & analyst's presentations and calls, international and domestic capital sources, including inflows and capital deployment.
Complete reoccurring status updates and reporting on transaction, client and market activity
Perform competitive analyses on business opportunities, client segments and market share statistics
Develop analyses concerning client business challenges and corporate trends resulting in a briefing packet delivered to senior leaders
Partner with Capital Markets senior leadership, vertical coordinators and Marketing in the creation of presentations, proposals, and other client facing materials
Lead special projects for senior leadership or platform initiatives benefiting Capital Markets professionals

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 2 years related experience. Background in Finance, Accounting, Research and/or Business Analytics preferred. Knowledge of Capital Markets industry preferred.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees. Team player, ability to cross-collaborate with various teams across the advisory services platform.
Requires basic knowledge of financial/accounting terms and principles. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports and presentations.
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret multiple sources of data to create threads of opportunity or value creation.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel. Proficiency in database and web-based research technology.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines and meeting deadlines in a consistent manner. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
