Sudberry Properties is a San Diego-based real estate development and management firm that specializes in retail town centers, mixed-use projects, master-planned communities, apartments, hotels, and office/industrial properties. Sudberry Properties has developed approximately 10 million square feet of commercial property.  Major projects under development include Millenia Commons in Chula Vista, The Watermark at Scripps Ranch, Breakwater at Imperial Beach; two hotels; the mixed-use El Corazon in Oceanside; and Civita, a 230-acre master planned community in Mission Valley.

 

Sudberry Properties is seeking an experience Project Coordinator. An ideal candidate is someone who has worked on large scale commercial projects in the construction and/or real estate industry for a minimum of 5 years. The candidate must be detailed, organized, self-sufficient, motivated, dedicated and reliable, and who is capable of exercising good judgment and extending a courteous approach to colleagues and outside consultants.  The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to promptly complete recurring monthly tasks, provide support requested by Project Managers and be capable of working well under a heavy work load and sustained pressure.

 

Project Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor project plans, budgets and expenditures throughout the entitlement, pre-development and construction process. 
  • Prepare and process complex construction loan draws, which includes, but not limited to, creating Excel spreadsheets, on-going coordination with General Contractor and Consultants, and Fund Control.
  • Track all costs and reimbursements for construction work on a project (includes Tenant Improvements Allocations).
  • Prepare and submit expense reports on a regular and timely basis.
  • Liaison for all vendors, consultants, financial institutions and governmental agencies.
  • Make sure that adequate and organized records are kept on all assigned tasks.
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Process invoices in Paperless Environment (pVault).
  • Organize, attend and participate in meetings.
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.

 

Project Coordinator Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Experience with Timberline (Sage), Paperless Environments, and Photoshop are a plus.
  • Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
