POSITION OVERVIEW

A unique opportunity for a bright individual to join our team in managing the construction of development projects. Through close mentorship with the VP of Construction, the role of a Construction Analyst/Associate is to coordinate and manage the successful execution of multiple projects from hotels to high rise office buildings across the country. This is a rare position to represent the ownership and gain unmatched exposure to all phases of development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, other related fields or experience.
  • The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of construction/field experience and project management skills with knowledge of architectural, structural, and/or MEP systems.
  • Can read drawings and schedules in order to apply construction sequencing
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, (Outlook, Project, Excel and Word) and other project management software such as Procore.
  • This position will be based out of the San Francisco office.
  • Must be able to travel overnight 25-50%.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with all parties and stakeholders involved in the project to drive the project schedule and ensure a unified team approach.
  • Review and negotiate contracts ensuring that that project scope is understood by all parties involved.
  • Assist with change management, tracking change orders and delay notices related to the project. Providing value engineering efforts and construction feasibility of plans.
  • Reviews and tracks RFIs for cost and time implications and submittals for adherence to design intent.
  • Coordinating any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, and end users
  • Conduct regular construction inspections to monitor ongoing progress, adherence to plans, quality control and schedules. Partner with the general contractor as necessary to address issues as they arise and to maintain project schedule.
  • Diagnose and manage risk on the project and find solutions to address issues/problems while maintaining a unified team to implement the solution.
  • Receive and disseminate critical information to stakeholders impacted by information including, but not limited to, schedule changes, construction concerns, city/code issues, budget variances, etc.
  • Manage the project closeout which includes walk throughs with members and managing punch lists and the warranty process to ensure a smooth and successful closeout.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain all reports required to ensure the project is in compliance, on schedule, and on budget.
