Description


The Program Manager is responsible for the execution of the facility operation, maintenance and janitorial services at multiple locations (and contracts) in accordance with contract and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison with the Government as necessary to promote contract operational efficiency.
  • Respond to client-identified performance concerns.
  • Propose technical solutions and provide detailed cost estimates.
  • Supervise project managers and site leads to resolve technical issues, and manage material and vendor requirements.
  • Communicates with customers, administrators, and operational employees as necessary to ensure contract performance.
  • Reports in writing and orally to higher management; communicates directly with clients and/or other contractor personnel, and effectively allocates resources.
  • Develops and maintains budgets, schedules and performance standards.
  • Resolve complex facility operations and maintenance problems—must have a technical background for effective execution.
  • Manages the company’s quality control, safety, and preventive maintenance program.
  • Writes detailed technical plans and proposals
  • Formulates complex pricing models for multi-year maintenance contracts.
  • Determines terms and conditions for purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, other business related field, preferred. In lieu of   degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
  • Minimum of eight years management experience in which five years shall be management of facility maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Strong technical facility maintenance background
  • Proposal writing and cost estimating skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
  • Flexibility in scheduling work hours and available for regular travel.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with senior personnel, Government employees and other Contactors.
  • Capable of establishing mission-oriented teams and resolving facility failures in a timely fashion.
  • Thorough knowledge of facility maintenance standards and practices.

Supervisory

Supervise and mentor all site project personnel.   

Physical Demands

Position requires the ability to bend, reach, stretch, push, pull and stand for extended periods; climb ladders, lift heavy objects, operate medium weight cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, etc. moving equipment, supplies, and furniture, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus), walking or standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.  It is Katmai Government Services, LLC’s business philosophy and practice to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.


Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in an office setting and or building, but may also be performed in a maintenance facility. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.


Work Schedule

40 hours per week.  May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
