The Opportunity
The Analyst will review and analyze new loan opportunities presented to the product originations team from the Mortgage Banking network. This includes a detailed review of Excel-based underwriting workbooks and narrative presentations Review,size and price transactions with the product originations team during the quote process. Draft quotes to the business and credit teams. Add quotes to internal tracking (CRM) system. Prepare loan applications. Draft internal approval memos. Follow-up on outstanding business and address internal reporting needs. Review loan servicing data. Review pertinent market information, including rent/sale comps, capitalization rates, market vacancy, trends and other data necessary to evaluate specific loan opportunities, including competitor information. Assist in transitioning new business through loan approval process. Create and update marketing materials. Actively communicate with mortgage banking network on products, policies, and deal
statuses.
What someone will need to be successful in this role
- Previous experience with multifamily and GSE s (Fannie, Freddie, etc.) preferred.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; specific
- experience with advanced functions of Excel preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to manage expectations, informing stakeholders of potential delays due to conflicting priorities.
- Can-do, proactive attitude that can mean making suggestions and giving options rather than waiting for answers.
- Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization.
What is required for this role
- Bachelor s degree required; Business-related field of study preferred; Higher degree (MBA,
- Master s) preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial real estate lending; exposure to
- multifamily preferred.
