Job Description

Square Mile is seeking a Credit Professional reporting to the Chief Credit Officer of the Debt Funds. The role would be to assist the Chief Credit Officer with underwriting, due diligence and asset management across all of Square Mile’s debt investment vehicles, including five credit funds targeting loan originations secured by acquisitions and refinancings of development, transitional, and stabilized properties. Credit is an integral part of the deal teams, involved in all aspects of the underwriting, diligence, and closing of new investments, as well as on-going asset management.


 
Responsibilities will include

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the credit process
  • Work with the asset management team with respect to the of existing credit portfolio, including managing and re-underwriting the portfolio
  • Review underwriting assumptions for screening memos and investment committee memos
  • Review property due diligence, interacting with third-party service providers, and completing market analysis

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution
  • 4-6 years of experience in real estate finance, underwriting and due diligence for value-added and construction projects within a lending institution
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for real estate
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Argus is preferred but not required
