JOB SUMMARY

Assists with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for a commercial asset. Develops and implements professional marketing and community relations programs to maximize the asset by increasing traffic, building sales and improving net operating income for assigned properties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In consultation with the management and leasing teams, develops and recommends marketing plans and strategies consistent with revenue and leasing goals of the property. Develops and recommends budgets for marketing initiatives.

Identifies, coordinates and facilitates promotional events, corporate sponsorships and other marketing efforts to aggressively build monthly traffic.

Communicates effectively with staff, tenants, public, corporate management and ownership. Keeps stakeholders apprised of marketing activities and results through monthly reports, newsletters and ongoing correspondence.

Interprets census data, media rankings, website data, survey results and all other forms of marketing related information.

Coordinates the development, production and distribution of print/web collateral materials.

Manages relationship with contracted marketing vendors. Obtains competitive bids for services and recommends service providers as appropriate.

Provides technical assistance to other staff members in use of marketing software applications to prepare marketing and promotional materials.

Manage the details of events & promotion implementation, including, but not limited to entertainment, merchant participation, staging and take down. Implementation will also include coordination and hands-on working with the public at off-site events.
Work closely with the Administrative Assistant to oversee all aspects of the Center-wide gift card program, including daily and monthly reports. Track and replenish as necessary gift card quantity, holders, transmittal tape, forms, and supplies required to operate the Center-wide gift card program. Work in tandem with Administrative Assistant to train all new tenants on Center-wide gift card program and re-train new employees of existing tenants when necessary.
Secure sponsorships for the property and marketing events throughout the year. Work with sponsor/partner representatives to assure that their needs are being met. Support General Manager in the administrative duties associated with sponsorship and specialty leasing, including, but not limited to, material distribution, implementation as specified by General Manager, tracking and measurement reporting.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year program, preferably in Sales or Marketing, with a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on general topics to clients, employees, tenants and public groups.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with desktop, graphics, and presentation software and technology.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
