Description
The purpose of this position is to maintain the condition and appearance of grounds, plants and foliage for all assigned properties. Responsible for ensuring the upkeep of building grounds, maintaining excellent curb appeal and assisting with minor maintenance tasks to support our vision of maintaining the appearance and preservation of the properties.
Must be able to use several types of power or hand tools such as chain saws, lawn mowers, tractors, clippers, trimmers, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all landscape responsibilities (mowing grass, trimming bushes, etc.) within designated project deadlines.
The duties of a landscape professional can include planting turf, bushes, shrubs, trees, and flowers. In addition, may install and maintain walkways, patios, decks, and other various outdoor spaces.
Waters lawn, shrubs, flowers and performs general gardening tasks.
Mows, trims, rakes lawn and applies lawn fertilizer.
Blows leaves from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots or other common areas.
Picks up exterior and interior litter; empties and sanitizes trash containers.
May assist with maintaining sidewalks during inclement weather.
Replaces exterior/interior light bulbs and globes.
Assists with washing windows and common area doorways.
Installs and maintains fences and gates.
May power wash buildings, driveways, parking lots and sidewalks.
May perform exterior/interior painting.
Assists with common area hallways, breezeways, mailbox areas, stairways, amenity areas, curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
Reports landscape damage to supervisor on a regular basis, as required.
Conducts daily maintenance requirements on site.
Assists supervisor with regular site inspections.
Practices safe work habits.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. At least one or more years of experience in all phases of landscaping and lawn maintenance. Must be able to use several types of power and hand tools such as chain saws, lawn mowers, tractors, clippers, trimmers, etc.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
