JOB SUMMARY
Working under general direction of Regional Business Operations Manager, responsible for management of core accounting and finance activities for the market.
Core responsibilities to include: accounts payable, billing and accounts receivables, contract administration, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis & reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a team of 3-10 including overall team direction, goals, staffing and performance management.

Works closely with the Regional Business Operations Leader and partners with corporate accounting and finance to achieve market financial and operational objectives.

Responsible for business metrics, strategic management of project resources, developing processes and standards to streamline overall business operations. 

Conducts special financial and business studies and other duties as assigned by management.

Produces routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages and pro forma analyses.

Prepares reviews and monitors data reports including Accounts Receivable, Income, EBITDA, pipeline and other business metrics. 

Analyzes income and expense trends to identify opportunities to improve profitability. 

Makes recommendations on revised controls and implements actions for improvement.

Oversees submission of reports/request deadlines.

Coordinates work with other departments. 

Compiles and reviews statistics and market data and adds commentary to complete analysis reports required for acquisitions, transitions and/or business proposals.

Ensures compliance with company policy, real estate law and state/federal guidelines. 

Responsible for maintaining data integrity, data standards and clean-up, training staff and development of quality control measures.

Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex inquiries and requests from internal and external clients. 

Develops project plans and costs, including personnel and fiscal requirements to achieve defined objectives. 

Provides updates relative to project resource and fiscal plans.
 
Leads and facilitates communication of best practices, policies, procedures and initiatives to support field operations. 

Ensures shared knowledge, implements process improvements and engages right resources in issue identification and resolution.
 
May train new team members on policies, procedures, processes, administration and governance. 

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.

Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.

Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. 

Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. 

Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. 

Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four year college or university plus a minimum of
three years related work experience to include budgeting, finance and or business analytics; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Team Lead or Supervisor related
experience preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively
present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate
figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial/business
analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems
effectively while dealing with sensitive situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative
skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Spreadsheet skill set to include advanced
functions such as graphics, pivot tables, macros and database management required.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to
achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors
in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
