JOB SUMMARY

CBRE Heery seeks an Architectural Designer II for our Orlando, FL office.

Responsible for daily design or technical development of projects under the supervision of a licensed architect.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Prepare 2D and 3D design materials.

Develops solutions to technical and design problems.

Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with material selection and system research.

Works with the project architect to develop production drawings.

Assists with construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, material submittals, on-site inspections, etc.

Reviews project documents; coordinates with other design disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.Arch) or Master's Degree (M.Arch) from four-year college or university. Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience required.

Experience with commercial/ institutional/complex building types, Justice and or Healthcare experience preferred

Experienced with Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-UP and Adobe Suite.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES


RA License preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE


Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY


Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
