JOB SUMMARY

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position, along with the Operations Management team, manages the Commercial, Medical and Retail properties for The Villages by ensuring compliance with The Villages policies and safety standards and leading team members to deliver Raving Fans Customer Service to internal and external customers.  Come join our fast growing team of professionals dedicated to building and maintaining a place where people’s dreams come true.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Development, implementation, and management of repair/maintenance programs for all operational aspects of the building systems, including but not limited to structural, electrical, mechanical and life safety.
  • Management of vendors/contractors in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs for all building systems.
  • Management and documentation of compliance with authority having jurisdiction and company risk management standards.
  • Compiling specifications, obtaining bids, selecting and managing contractors for maintenance and construction projects.  Inspection of installations and repairs, and monitoring progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual building and property inspections.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve building, warranty & property issues, communication with and utilize appropriate vendors/contractors.
  • Development and management of operating and capital budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Real Estate, Facility Management or Construction Management preferred.
  • BOMI, ICSC, IREM, IFMA, CHFM, CHSP Certification or other equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Property Management and/or Facilities Management Software is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years related Health Care facilities management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Competent working knowledge of Regulatory Agencies such as AHCA, CMS, EPA, FDEP, with knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards for Health Care required.
  • Applicant must possess working knowledge of commercial building systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety.
  • Applicant is required to have a valid Florida driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to company standards.
  • Applicant must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as excellent written and oral communications skills.
