Job Summary

This position is focused exclusively on the review and input of data within HFF’s internal database to ensure that transactions are properly documented, researched, and confirmed in the system. The Internal Database Compliance Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring files are complete, managing the process with and through Producers and Analysts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilizing reporting and other features within the internal database, research, audit and ensures complex commercial real estate transactions are properly documented and confirmed within internal database.

  • Conduct routine audit of transactions to ensure that information is continuously updated in a timely manner.

  • Ensures compliance with established internal documentation procedures to include, but not limited to, compilation of loan quotes, offer matrixes, sales offers and other documents. Coordinates with producers and analyst to ensure documents/data is collected and input into internal database.

  • Must be technically proficient and be able to effectively identify what data is missing in the internal database from a deal, in need of additional documentation or is questionable and requiring additional review.

  • Reviews and confirms with analyst and producer deal rates, deal status, missing data and ensures internal database is updated accordingly prior to approval of deal.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required

  • 3+ years of experience in a real estate analysis environment; mortgage or commercial real estate industry preferred.

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; able to interface with top level executives.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate transactions and deal procedures.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
