Journey Capital is seeking an asset management professional to join our growing organization. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the team and gain exposure to several areas of the real estate investment business. The candidate’s primary responsibilities include participating in the asset management of institutional quality multifamily real estate investments throughout the United States. The Principals of Journey Capital collectively have over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and have participated in over $10 billion of transactions. Journey Capital is growing rapidly and presents an opportunity to participate in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, working alongside the Company’s leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with property management personnel to monitor asset level operations by conducting site visits and oversight of leasing, occupancy, capital improvements and/or renovation programs.
- Work with the property management team in order to optimize marketing of the property.
- Analyze property management budgets, rent rolls, financial information, and other operational reports to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the tracking of investment performance, preparation of asset management reports, investor communications, and presentations to provide updates on asset performance and strategies.
- Assist with lender communication and internal finance related responsibilities.
- Perform hold/sell analyses and participate in the disposition of owned assets.
- Conducting due diligence on potential multifamily asset acquisitions.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in multifamily property management or asset management.
- Familiarity with property condition reports, property management budgets, rent rolls, and financial statements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving with expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and to interface with senior management and other industry professionals.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*Expected total compensation range of $130,000 - $150,000
