Company Overview:
Our client is a publicly traded national real estate investment firm involved in all phases of real estate management, development, and leasing. The company’s 67 properties are located in approximately 17 states with a concentration in the northeast and include shopping centers, office buildings, and single tenant triple net leased properties aggregating approximately 2 million square feet.
Position Overview:
Our client is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to assist the Property Manager and other members of the property management team in the direction and management of the day-to-day operations, physical condition, financial performance, and administration of the properties in accordance with established owner requirements and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of various properties within the portfolio
- Assist with the management of tenant improvements and capital projects
- Review and approve expenses on ongoing invoices
- Assist in preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly financial reports
- Prepare and coordinate bid proposals and service contracts
- Assist in lease administration activities
- Inspect assigned properties in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure Certificates of Insurance for tenants and vendors are up to date
- Interact with and be the main point of contact for the building tenants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of commercial real estate experience preferred
- High proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Strong written and oral communications skills; able to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Proactive work ethic with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Is a great team player
- Construction knowledge and oversight a plus
