Description

Independent 40+ year-old, vertically integrated real estate investment and development company located North of Boston with over 3,500,000 square feet under ownership/management, is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our team.

We are working to push our company into the future by actively re-designing our approach to embrace modern technology and workflow, and are seeking a Senior Analyst to help drive that effort.

In this highly-collaborative position, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for the financial review and analytical oversight of current and prospective properties, including underwriting, development, and valuation analysis, portfolio and property-level reporting, capital projects, and prospective leasing.

As a key player in rebuilding our organization into a modern real estate company, you will work closely with the firm's Executive team as well as Asset & Property Managers on various workstreams. In this role, you will have extensive input in designing policies, procedures, forms, templates, and more, as we transform our organization from the ground up.

You will support the acquisition, development, and asset management of investment opportunities and the existing portfolio. While in-person collaboration is crucial, our organization embraces a hybrid work model, combining in-person and remote work via technology.

Our organization has a long history of promoting from within, and we envision the professional in this role will grow into a senior deal-maker over time.

Responsibilities (Acquisitions):

  • Perform financial modeling on investment opportunities using Argus and Excel.
  • Conduct financial analyses of potential acquisitions, including cash flow modeling, scenario analyses, and evaluation of financing alternatives.
  • Research due diligence data, such as rent, expenses, taxes, and market comparables.
  • Assist in preparing investment overviews and presenting them to Senior Management.
  • Participate in site visits for prospective acquisitions and review due diligence materials.

Responsibilities (Asset Management):

  • Develop and maintain asset-level and portfolio-level cash flow projections and proformas for various asset types.
  • Generate and maintain internal and external fund and asset-level reports.
  • Monitor compliance with debt service covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Manage property and leasing transaction databases.
  • Analyze leasing proposals to aid senior management and Property Managers in evaluating deals efficiently.

General Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate, investment banking, private equity, or commercial lending/brokerage.
  • Bachelor's Degree requried; while Finance and/or Accounting is preferred, we acknowledge that real estate professionals often emerge from a diverse background.
  • Advanced quantitative and financial modeling skills.
  • Proven history of working through and solving complex problems and organizational challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with ARGUS.
  • Familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Come grow your career with our dynamic and engaged team!
