Review, underwrite and analyze potential commercial real estate investments. This position will assist with financial analysis, due diligence and closing processes, providing support to the investment and asset management teams. Job responsibilities will include multiple analytical support and control roles throughout the organization.

 

Principal Accountabilities/Essential Functions

  1. Review and underwrite new investment opportunities.  Additional duties may include direct interaction with sponsors, borrowers and lenders.
  2. Argus modeling and cash flow analysis of potential investments.  Developing property-level forecast models in both Argus and Excel.
  3. Assist in the due diligence of new investment opportunities by reviewing property specific information, financial statements, and third-party reports.
  4. Provide team with current market research information regarding trends in market demographics and competitive analysis.
  5. Support investment team with the creation and submission of investment committee recommendations for new investments.
  6. Lead and participate in assigned projects to support overall team.
  7. Conduct additional analyses / research on an ad hoc basis.

Essential Requirements

  1. Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to accuracy and detail; adjust work schedule to accommodate department work flow priority deadlines; work effectively in collaboration with peers, team members and outside partners for efficiency of time.
  2. Ability to interpret, develop, and/or present financial analysis and underwriting valuation techniques; apply investment terminology and concepts to related written and verbal communications.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree and/or advanced professional designations (e.g. CFA, CPA) preferred.

 

Experience, Skills Required

  1. A minimum of two years’ experience in commercial real estate analysis is preferred.
  2. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required, experience with Argus preferred.
  3. Analytical skills and an understanding of various financial accounting/financial tools.
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
  5. Solid interpersonal skills relative to team and outside relationships.
  6. Self-motivated, honest, creative and resourceful.

Compensation

The annual anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is USD $95,000.00 - $105,000.00. Actual base salaries may vary and fall outside of this range.  Discretionary bonus and other incentive compensation is available and will depend on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. Position offers competitive benefit package.
