DevCo Preservation is seeking a full-time Senior Procurement Agent to join our team in Bellevue, Washington.
The Senior Procurement Agent will facilitate the placement of purchase orders, follow up with vendors regarding order status, and coordinate with general contractors, warehouses, transportation vendors, and project stakeholders. This position is responsible for the procurement of materials and supplies for large- and small-scale renovation and new build projects and ensures that product is available on time through expediting and negotiation. The Senior Procurement Agent is responsible for creating and maintaining good vendor relations, maintaining effective purchasing procedures, and assisting in departmental bookkeeping and metric tracking.
Salary: 100K-130K DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Place all orders requiring a purchase order with established vendors as directed by the Project Managers and Estimators.
- Log purchase order information and update the project team regarding the schedule as needed.
- Coordinate, schedule, and track all shipments and deliveries. Expedite orders as needed to meet deadlines and facilitate communication between shipping and receiving parties.
- Maintain designated accounts with vendors and suppliers and establish new accounts as directed. Includes working to establish terms of credit and resolving account issues as needed.
- Code all construction-related invoices after verifying receipt of goods. Includes tracking partial shipments and gathering required approval signatures for invoices.
- Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. Spearhead effort to remedy situation with minimal financial impact.
- Manage other procurement agents in the procurement department as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks by deadlines and communicate any obstacles with your supervisor in advance.
- Attend training classes as scheduled and assigned.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement in the construction industry desirable.
• Real estate industry or multifamily construction experience is preferred.
• Available to travel as needed.
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen is required.
• Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
