Title:                Intern – Asset Management & Valuations

 

Department:     Asset Management

 

 

CWCapital Asset Management (CWCAM), the largest named special servicer of Freddie Mac loans and a leading third-party commercial mortgage special servicer is seeking interns to learn from our asset management and valuations team in Washington D.C.   

 

Position Summary

 

  • Interns will work with the asset management and valuations teams to provide analytical support to asset managers and assist in reviewing the credit of securitized pools of commercial mortgages at individual asset and loan level.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

Interns will participate in a program that allows them to see all facets of CWCAM. Interns will provide support to Asset Managers responsible for the resolution of non-performing loans and REO assets. Additionally, the interns will perform credit analysis on pools of commercial mortgage-back securities, including agency debt. Specific duties will include:

 

 

  • Assist with excel modeling of the cash flows and valuations of properties across all commercial real estate asset classes.
  • Analyze and assist with underwriting real estate and commercial loans.
  • Provide support for analyzing operating statements, budgets, third party reports, and commercial lease review.
  • Present data-driven recommendations to asset management and valuations team.
  • Perform market research by using both internal and third-party databases and utilizing existing broker relationships.
  • Participate in property management, leasing, and client calls.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements

 

  • Seeking bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
