Data Center M&E Technician

Provides maintenance of Data Center Support Infrastructure. Provides preparation work for all facilities, network and hardware installations and works with experienced personnel to modify, upgrade and maintain the environmental and/or data support systems within the Data Center environment. Under limited or no supervision, will perform analysis and resolution of infrastructure related problems. Will be responsible for vendor coordination and supervision performing preventative and reactive maintenance activities on-site.

Provides coordination efforts including hands on support maintaining Sprint's Data Center hardware platforms and infrastructure connectivity. Working with new technologies and state-of-the-art equipment Engineer will provide preparation work and tasks such as hardware installations/removals as well as enterprise and storage area network connections. Engineer will interpret designs, participate in planning sessions and under limited supervision, perform problem analysis and resolution to infrastructure related problems.

Must be able to provide 7 x 24 on call rotation support responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS
• Two years of experience in operation, installation, design and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and/or fire suppression systems
• Electrical and/or Mechanical Certification
• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance
• Two years of experience with Uninterrupted Power Supplies and Power Distribution Units, Diesel Generator Systems, Electrical Distribution Systems, DX or split systems Air Conditioning Systems, Fire Suppression Systems and local codes and the effects on operations within the Data Center
• One year of experience with Environmental Monitoring software (i.e. Automated Logic Web Control, Allen Bradley, Siemens)
• Bachelor's degree or four years of related work experience in a Data Center environment
• Two years of experience with Data Center operations including detailed comprehension of data systems
• Two years of experience with project management, product evaluation, vendor and customer negotiations
• Two years of customer service, communication, documentation and PC experience
