Continental Properties is looking for a Director Market Research leader to join our team at the home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. 

As the Director of Market Research, you will be responsible for leading the market research activities to guide Continental’s development and operations activities, including residential, hotel, retail, and other business lines.  The role influences and interfaces directly with internal stakeholders on market research-related topics that impact the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the market research activities to guide critical development and operations activities, including residential, hotel, retail, and other business lines.
  • Lead the market research team to proactively support the development, lease-up, and stabilization of rental housing communities via data-driven recommendations through site identification and assessment, rent analysis, mapping, and other analyses.  
  • Develop the market strategy for Continental’s residential rental development activities and update as needed based upon ongoing data and trend evaluations. 
  • Lead market, submarket, and site identification and evaluation through data-driven insights. 
  • Coach market research team to conduct thorough and balanced assessments to ultimately deliver a clear and logical communication of recommendations that transparently illustrate both the upside and risk of each recommendation.  

 

Skills for Success:

  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills, an ability to confidently share pertinent information to key stakeholders including executives.
  • Bias for acting on data insights, the ability to make sense of complex data and arrive at a data-driven point of view that drives business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (in business, economics, real estate, or related field) required. Master’s Degree desired.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant (market research) experience, three years’ experience leading a team.
