What You’ll Do

When it comes to our leased or owned structures, technical sites and office facilities, you’ll keep up with daily operations. You’ll sit on a throne of efficiency and dependability. Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Managing daily work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Providing facility oversight and ongoing building inspections.

• Performing electrical work and preventative maintenance of HVAC and plumbing.

• Performing office furniture repairs/cleaning, office relocations and furniture teardown/reconstruction.

• Performing carpentry work, painting and replacing lightbulbs.

• Mounting bulletin boards, whiteboards, TVs, pictures, etc.

• Performing regulatory inspections on critical equipment and properties and maintaining service records.

• Operating and adjusting building management systems for seasonal and local comfort.

• Communicating with vendors/contractors to solicit cost estimates, references, etc.

• Working with leaders and contractors to develop the budget and scope of projects.

• Responding to emergency calls, evaluating damages and taking necessary steps to protect customers, employees and property (when directed, may assume initial lead role in emergency response).

• Performing ergonomic modifications to furniture/equipment as directed by safety.

• Using our integrated work management system (IWMS) software to enter, complete and track work order requests from internal company personnel.

• Maintaining inventory of supplies and parts, including purchases of small tools and equipment.

 

Who You Are

You are a true jack of all trades. You’re organized and reliable. And when it comes to keeping our workplaces safe and beautiful, these qualifications are king:

 

Minimum:

• A high school diploma, GED or relevant work experience.

• 4 or more years of experience in a related field.

• The ability to oversee the building needs at multiple properties.

• Knowledge of building system terms and technology.

• The ability to review spreadsheets, develop reporting and communicate within the Microsoft Office suite.

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Excellent organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, math, written, verbal and collaborative skills.

• A valid local drivers’ license with driving record that meets Cox standards.

 

Preferred

• Technical certification in one or more related building systems.

• Certification in operating lifting equipment.

• Experience in the telecommunications industry.

• Experience operating commercial chillers, cooling towers, boilers, VFD drives and pumps.

• Experience operating automated building management systems to include central plant, HVAC controls and automated lighting systems.
