Comstock Realty Partners (“Comstock”) is a Los Angeles-based real estate investment and development firm specializing in value-add and opportunistic acquisition and repositioning of industrial, office, self-storage and urban infill properties throughout California. Comstock has also recently expanded into ground-up development and re-development, including 198 Utah Street in San Francisco and Modelo, a 17.5 acre mixed-use ground up development in Commerce, CA. Founded by Adrian Comstock in 2007, Comstock has completed over $220 Million of dispositions and acquisitions in the Bay Area and Southern California. Comstock invests its own equity into every asset in its portfolio and has partnered with institutional investors, hedge funds, and syndicates of high net-worth individuals to capitalize its projects.

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Direct involvement with CEO and partner level team members
  • Sourcing, reviewing, and underwriting of potential acquisition opportunities
  • Lead financial modeling, projections, analysis using Microsoft Excel
  • Conduct market research and synthesize market data
  • Prepare investment memorandums for equity and debt capital raising
  • Lead due diligence process and coordination of 3rd party vendors
  • Assist with transaction financings, including coordination with equity partners and lenders
  • Participate in weekly calls with property management or development teams
  • On a regular basis, monitor property performance, capital expenditures, and management execution
  • Support general company activities such as, creation of investment memorandums for acquisitions and dispositions, creation of investor quarterly reports, supporting capital raising efforts, and other activities.

 

Required Background and Skills

 

  • One to three years of financial analysis and/or investment services experience with real estate experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (Real Estate, Finance, Economics, and/or related field is preferred)
  • Experience in financial modeling of development and existing real estate investments in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail is a must
  • Must be an independent, self-driven team member

 

Travel:

Up to 30% travel is required (regional and local)
