Alpha Investing is seeking a Nashville-based Senior Associate (or candidate willing to live in Nashville for 12-18 months with a full remote option thereafter) who will oversee the firm’s growing portfolio of assets. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance or accounting, and 5 - 7 years of professional experience within real estate. We are seeking an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to help grow a company predicated on long-term, sustainable value creation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of investment business plans, including financial performance, capital projects, loan compliance and disposition
- Monitor and review monthly property financials and cash flow distributions, ensuring accuracy, and tracking actual performance against underwriting and budget
- Correspond with operating partners on a quarterly basis to review investment performance, understand updates to business plans, and track relevant market conditions
- Analyze operating partner macro and microeconomic data, and asset and portfolio data, to produce insightful analyses that drive strategic decision-making
- Prepare detailed reports for management, on a quarterly and ad hoc basis, covering investment and portfolio performance, including detailed financial analyses of operating performance, status of capital projects, market and competitive property analyses and hold/sell recommendations
Requirements & Qualifications
- BA/BS in relevant field
- 5 - 7 years of professional experience within real estate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior analytical, quantitative and technical skills
- Significant proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis and modeling
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of self-motivation
- Proven ability to organize, multitask and self-manage
- Ability to both work closely with a small team and work autonomously when needed
