Catalyst Equity is looking for an Acquisitions Analyst to help underwrite potential multifamily real estate opportunities.  This role will assess, underwrite, and value each property by comparing market value, rental comparisons, and rehabilitation costs in target areas.  This role will also require someone who can apply analytical processes to create detailed models to determine whether potential projects meet certain investment criteria. Ideal candidate must be a self-starter with limited need for direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research real estate market and submarkets for potential multifamily real estate opportunities
  • Complete underwriting model for potential projects by inputting data from broker sales package (Trailing 12 P&L, Rent Roll, etc.) in our proprietary model.
  • Perform analysis on data sets using pivot tables, advanced Excel functions, etc.
  • Build charts and graphs with data sets to show key trends
  • Ability to summarize results of model and determine the viability of the project
  • Maintain and manage our deal pipeline effectively
  • Communicate with brokers to understand the deal attributes and tour deals, as necessary
  • Prepare offers, best and final packages, conduct sales and rental comps, as necessary
  • Lead all acquisition-related activities (PSA negotiations, due diligence, preparing of investment presentations to investors, etc.) from contract to closing
  • Work with property management and asset management to transition properties prior to closing
  • Lead all refinance and disposition activities

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience underwriting large (100+ unit) multifamily properties
  • Exemplary Excel modeling capabilities (Pivot Tables, Sorting, Charts/Graphs, using some advanced functions, etc.)
  • Experience building and implementing financial models and using a variety of data analysis tools
  • Strong MS Office including PowerPoint skills
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments effectively and work under pressure and in a time-sensitive environment
  • Self-motivated and willing to wear many "hats" as required for a fast-paced, growing company
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Tech savvy and not afraid to learn new tools and platforms
  • Bachelor in Finance, Business, Real Estate or Accounting

Location:

  • Individual should be located in Dallas (preferred) or Houston, Texas
  • Remote until company office is established

Salary plus bonus commensurate with experience
