Job Description

 

M&A Real Estate Partners, a Los Angeles-based, multifamily and student housing owner/operator with assets located throughout the United States is seeking an Analyst to join our team.  This individual will assist our team with tracking asset performance, budgeting, and financial review, underwriting and other asset management and acquisition-related activities.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into the real estate investment space. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Review and publish monthly financial reports
  • Create and oversee monthly performance of property budgets
  • Create and track property pre-leasing performance
  • Assist in setting property rents annually
  • Oversee and track property capital projects and expenditures
  • Assist property management team with ad hoc requests and daily management activities including property management software setup and maintenance
  • Serve as primary digital marketing contact with Google Adwords and SEO responsibilities
  • Oversee lender management activities
  • Maintain marketing webpages and landing pages
  • Assist in the onboarding of new properties
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance and tax-related matters
  • Assist in property acquisitions and dispositions
  • Assist in the creation of investor OM’s
  • Make changes and updates to proforma model as needed

 

Ideal Candidate Must Possess:

 

  • One to three years’ experience as a commercial real estate analyst or intern. Multifamily or student housing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • Advance Excel knowledge with the ability to analyze data and model ad hoc scenarios. Familiarity with vlookup, hlookup, match and index functions. 
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to assess qualitative and quantitative characteristics of properties and/or investments
  • Outgoing personality with the drive to succeed
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with third parties
  • Ability to thrive in a small company environment
  • Location TBD.   Remote work may be a possibility for the right candidate.
