POSITION SUMMARY:  

Performs accurate and complex processing and advanced clerical and administrative tasks to assist with Commercial Real Estate and Jumbo Residential credits and the related credit process. A key function of this position is understanding appropriate components of a credit file and taking the lead in obtaining loan related information for all pending loan requests as well as procurement for annual reviews by Credit Department. Tactfully responds to inquiries from customers and prospects and resolves customer issues.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage loan related questions directly from Borrowers including inquiries regarding calculation of payment amounts, real estate taxes, and transaction summaries.  Understand and be able to show Borrowers interest calculation breakdowns, amortization tables, etc. via Microsoft Excel. 
  • In conjunction with the Loan Servicing Department process complex loan payments and loan/line advances via internal account credits and external wires while following bank required protocol for client verification. 
  • Coordinate all aspects of pending commercial real estate loan payoffs including the gathering of legal file and termination/assignment documentation, requesting and confirming payoff letter amounts are accurate, and delivery of payoff documents to the appropriate party.
  •  Set up loan credit files and organize and maintain accurate loan files and records.  Prepare monthly/weekly tracking reports via Baker Hill as necessary detailing missing tickler items (rent rolls, tax returns, insurance, site visits, etc.) and working with portfolio management team, contact Borrowers for missing documentation.
  • Manage loan closing process for built-in extension options and no new money renewals.  Review accuracy of renewal loan documentation prepared by attorneys, prepare list of costs due in conjunction with renewal (extension fees, third party reports, legal costs, interest and escrow due amounts, reserve replenishments), and coordinate the closing of the extension transactions with Borrowers and/or Borrower attorneys.
  • Prepare for visits from regulators by ensuring that all legal and credit files are complete and include the most up-to-date information.  Work with Credit Administration to assist visiting regulators in locating information in the credit files. 
  • Manage overdrafts with associated Loan Officer, and interface with customers to resolve issues.  
  • Coordinate payment of third-party invoices from good faith deposit funds received as the invoices are received.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve internal loan processes and procedures and make recommendations to management.  Develop and maintain specialized knowledge of loan systems, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Review Borrower org structure to order OFAC’s and determine KYC info needed based on percentage ownership.
  • Review insurance and perform other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: 

· 3-5 years of relevant experience 

· Strong written and verbal communication skills 

· Organizational skills and attention to detail 

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including excel spreadsheets and word documents 

 

EDUCATION and EXPIERENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

 High school diploma or equivalent work experience
