Beverly Hills-based Maxxam Enterprises acquires, develops and manages a wide range of properties throughout the nation. With over 40 years of experience, the principals of Maxxam have built a successful track record identifying undervalued properties and maximizing profit potential through creative repositioning, capital improvements, active management and/or disposition.

 

We are seeking a qualified analyst to assist with all facets of new acquisitions, asset management, and portfolio reporting. The company’s portfolio consists primarily of retail, office, industrial, and multifamily properties throughout Southern California and certain other markets.

 

We are seeking a hardworking, independent and resourceful individual who is proactive and willing to learn and work in an open and energetic environment. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and be committed to producing high quality work.

 

 

Primary Duties:

  • Support the acquisition team with financial underwriting, market research, and performing due diligence on new acquisitions
  • Provide general asset management support on specific properties, which may include interaction with 3rd party property management companies, tenants, vendors, leasing brokers, and contractors
  • Develop and track annual budgets
  • Monitor property performance and manage portfolio metric reporting
  • Assist with special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a proven track record of academic excellence (BS in Business, Real Estate, or related field/degree preferred)
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in groups 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytic skills and familiarity with financial modeling
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • ARGUS experience is a plus
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of professional real estate and/or financial analysis experience
