L.J. Sheridan & Co. is searching for an experienced Assistant Property Manager to manage a 260,000sf office condominium building in the East Loop/Millennium Park neighborhood in downtown Chicago.
Job Description:
The Assistant Property Manager assists the General Manager in effectively managing a 150-unit commercial office condo building in downtown Chicago. The Assistant Property Manager is directly responsible for maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports including accurate reporting of assessment statements and deposits received.
Responsibilities:
Administrative and Building Related
- Answer all incoming calls and welcome office visitors
- Oversee and manage building service requests in the Angus Work Order System
- Verify and organize all Certificate of Insurance documents
- Maintain and track building permits
- Perform monthly building inspections with janitorial service provider
- Coordinate building move-ins and move-outs
- Disseminate building memos and correspondence to owners and tenants
- Coordinate and schedule building events
- Prepare quarterly board meeting minutes and newsletters
Property Accounting
- Handle all Accounts Payable/Receivables using Yardi Breeze software
- Maintain delinquency reports with documentation of current collection efforts
- Post all late fees and interest payments for delinquent owners into the accounting system
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience as Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager
- 4-year degree
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across digital platforms and in-person
- Attention to detail
- Effective time management
- Strong interpersonal skills to support relationships with a broad range of individuals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi property management software.
- Strong organizational skills
