Description

Notes: Our ideal candidate will be a current student in the Real Estate Master's Degree program at NYU Schack or Columbia GSAPP. The internship can be mostly remote, with the exact in-office schedule TBD upon discussion with candidate.

Kriss Capital is a rapidly growing real estate investment firm, born from the principal's previous company East River Partners which developed residential properties in NYC and CT between 2010-2020. Kriss Capital has two primary businesses: lending and development. Our lending arm aims to become one of the nation's leading bridge and construction lenders over the coming years, and our development arm aims to continue the successful track record of East River Partners while expanding in project size and location.

We are looking for an intelligent and driven intern to work with us for approximately ~25 hours per week in both arms of the business.

The right candidate should be at least half-way through their school's real estate program and should have a baseline understanding of commercial real estate and financial concepts to build from.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Loan/development analysis, including market and comp research, financial modeling, production of memoranda
  • Research on the lending competitive landscape; who is closing what deals at what terms etc.
  • Investment Sales Broker and Mortgage Broker research and outreach
  • Production of presentations on potential deals, deal pipeline, investment/loan offerings, new business ideas, etc.
  • Research projects as they arise

What you can expect from us:

  • We will be a resource for you; the more initiative you take to learn, the more we will be happy to teach.
  • We will be an open book, involving you in discussions of the business and our evolving strategy.

This will be an unpaid internship. The length of the internship is TBD. Consider the remainder of this semester as a baseline, and we will be more than happy to extend further if it benefits us both.
