McCourt Partners Real Estate (MPRE) is the real estate division of McCourt Global. MPRE's current real estate projects include 360 Tenth Avenue in New York City; 1201 Brickell Bay Drive in Miami; and the Stage in London. MPRE is in the process of developing into a stand-alone vertical, and is seeking an HR Director that has a passion for building and growing organizations and leaders.

 

About the Role

 

This position will be the first dedicated HR Manager or Director for MPRE and will work closely with MPRE leadership to develop and execute HR strategies focused on recruiting, talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement for the MPRE team. This role also has the opportunity to support other investment-related businesses within the McCourt portfolio. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact practices and plans. You will help business leaders look ahead and around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience. You will roll up your sleeves and be the person directly implementing HR strategies and programming for MPRE. This position is based in Los Angeles, California and reports directly to the General Counsel of MPRE with additional accountability to the McCourt HR team.

 

Responsibilities

· Develop and personally implement a robust people strategy that proactively addresses business needs in all major HR areas including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, career development, employee relations, leadership development, employee communications, employee engagement, compensation and rewards, and risk management.

· Directly provide or, in connection with McCourt Global’s HR team, facilitate the provision of expert advice and counsel to MPRE team members on all human resources issues.

· Together with the MPRE executive team, develop and deliver a cohesive talent strategy and vision for the growing MPRE team and work to continuously improve and execute upon the strategy and vision.

· In conjunction with McCourt Global’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) team and other stakeholders, develop and deliver thoughtful initiatives that promote DEI goals.

· Be a leader in valuing diversity of opinions and people, and coach MPRE team members at all levels to become more competent, compassionate, conscious and courageous in these efforts.

· Work closely with the McCourt Global HR team to lead the implementation of all key company-wide HR initiatives and life cycle activities for MPRE, such as learning programs, compensation planning, and performance management.

 

Experience and Skills

· 8+ years in employee-facing Human Resources roles with a solid track record of progression and continuous improvement;

· Experience working with real estate development companies or other fast paced, constantly changing global functions;

· Must possess both strategic thinking capability and “hands on” HR plan implementation experience – the ability to strategically conceive of new ways of doing things and then pragmatically turn concepts into action;

· Demonstrated success in recruiting life cycle from creative sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiations and onboarding team members at various levels

· Must have strong change management skills with experience partnering with businesses going through significant growth or organizational transformation;

· Proven track record of establishing credibility and delivering first class human resources advice and counseling;

· Business oriented, able to understand the organization from a commercial and operational point of view as well as from a people perspective;

· Able to develop, maintain, and strengthen collaborative relationships inside and outside the organization to drive projects to completion;

· Able to prioritize projects to meet required deadlines. Skilled at managing several projects at once and adjusting to changing needs and unexpected events;

· Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; and

· Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws pertaining to the employment relationship.
