Northmarq is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Operations Coordinator in our Charlotte office.  The to-be-hired Operations Coordinator will sit in Charlotte, NC alongside the market-leading multifamily investment sales team covering the Carolinas. The Operations Coordinator will work intimately with senior team members and play a key role in the team’s day-to-day operations. The Carolinas Investment Sales team currently consists of 11 individuals (5 partners, a Director of Operations, 4 associates/analysts, and a graphic designer) and is expected to grow over the next 6 months. The role of Operations Coordinator is a new position created to support the growing team and high transaction volume.
 
The ideal candidate will possess hyper-organizational skills as well as the ability to exercise independent judgement to plan, prioritize, and organize the diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. While investment sales and/or commercial real estate experience is not required, the ideal candidate will have a strong desire to dive into the industry and ability to learn quickly. The role is a client-facing opportunity; therefore, customer service experience is preferred and a high-level of professionalism is imperative and expected.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in coordination of the office meetings, conferences, presentations, and travel arrangements and expenses
  • Manage the team calendar by scheduling conference calls, meetings, on-site tours, etc.
  • Perform office administration tasks such as, composing, editing, and formatting and proofreading documents, and reports.
  • Provide high level of customer service to client(s) and vendors
  • Process business expense reports on a regular basis for the senior team members/partners
  • Process vendor invoices with accounts payable on a regular basis
  • Track and monitor day-to-day transaction work alongside team members
  • Manage client submission of confidentiality agreements for individual transactions
  • Track potential investors’ access to confidential material for individual transactions
  • Identify potential issues with day-to-day operations and respond accordingly
  • Adhere to all state real estate agency requirements
  • Ability to foster and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients to ensure effective business communications
  • Perform other administrative duties and tasks assigned by team, and take on more responsibility as team grows
 
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Four-year degree strongly preferred
