The Director, People & Culture will be a key partner to the business in our as we are rapidly growing.  This role will play a critical role in building programs, processes and people practices to create the best real estate company on the planet.  This role will be a strategic partner to leaders, a promoter of our culture and values and innovative partner for our people decisions in a transparent approach.  This person will help navigate complex challenges and must be solution oriented with the ability to work across multiple teams.  We will be including evaluating, enhancing and implementing new processes and practices, continuously making improvements to the overall culture and team member experience.

What you will do:

  • Build relationships with leaders and team members to offer thought leadership, people strategy and execution in our fast paced and growing business.  
  • Consult and execute a comprehensive people plan include providing expertise in career pathing, performance management, coaching, data and analysis, compensation programs and rewards, learning and development, organizational design, leadership development and team member matters
  • Work closely with our leaders to forecast staffing growth plans, track, hire to ensure teams are appropriately staffed to meet growth demands
  • Solve problems and address root causes of issues.  Assess, design and quickly implement solutions to related people issues. 
  • Manage and resolve complex team issues (employee relations) including experience with conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Drives and innovates programs and initiatives to cultivate our culture throughout the organization
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of our teams, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Works closely with leadership and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Promotes diversity & inclusion, collaboration, fairness, high-performance, innovation and integrity
  • Identifies training needs for team members and individual executive coaching needs

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area
  • Minimum 7 years of generalist experience in Human Resources including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, compensation, and benefits programs, as well as application of legal and government compliance guidelines
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in direct compensation planning with a business unit
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills required to present, discuss, and explain complex information to team members
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to lead projects including building timeline, communication plan, facilitate discussion with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong change management skills with the ability to drive organization, process and technology change
  • Strong team player with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, while thriving in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to use data and analytics to address and problem-solving skills to make decisions to help improve overall organization health.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office products, including knowledge of HRIS related software

 Preferred:

  • Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology, HR Management or Labor Relations
  • HR Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
