TITLE: Development Coordinator

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time

DEPARTMENT: Construction & Development

REPORTS TO: Managing Director

Position Summary:

Serves as junior associate and project coordinator for Development Division. Assists with administrative responsibilities and on-going development tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Development Team to coordinate schedules on multiple projects.
  • Maintains and updates master project list.
  • Assists with administrative duties for Development Projects and ongoing tasks; including requests for proposals.
  • Supporting pre-development activities for new development opportunities, including obtaining third-party reports and studies, researching development constraints (regulatory, constructability, etc.), and assisting with the coordination of design and pre-construction.
  • Organizes and manages documents on the server for individual projects and files and reports as needed.
  • Assisting in preparation real estate development presentations, packages, and analyses.
  • Assists with budget coordination, research and documentation, as well as routing of invoices.
  • Maintains project databases.
  • Creates and manages monthly reports.
  • Conserves supervisors’ time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence & communications.
  • Assists Development team with tracking interior design schedules, tracking status during design phases, coordination of installs.
  • Assists Development team with coordination within folders and project documentation.
  • Assists Development team with coordination of financing the project. Ensuring necessary documentation is delivered timely and tracked. Coordinates with other teams to ensure all information is received.
  • Provides calendar management for Managing Director & lead Developers. Maintains appointment schedules by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and assisting with travel arrangements.

  • Must be very detail-oriented and organized, with emphasis on accuracy and completeness of task.
  • Bachelors degree required; 1 – 2 years experience
  • Must work well with different personalities and create positive working relationships.
  • Must have the ability to handle difficult conversations when conflicts arise.
  • Is curious and willing to research issues when necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Microsoft Projects scheduling would be a plus.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Ability to operate general office machines such as facsimiles, copiers, postage meter, typewriter, printer, and computer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
