FIRM OVERVIEW: Founded in 1985, Harbor Group International (HGI) is a leading vertically integrated real estate investment firm. With over $13.5 billion in assets under management, HGI offers a broad range of both equity debt and real estate strategies across the risk/return spectrum.

JOB SUMMARY: HGI is seeking an Investor Relations Analyst to join its growing firm. This position will report to the SVP of Investor Relations to support enhancing the investor experience primarily by working on portfolio analysis and investor presentations. The team’s focus is on communicating the firm’s real estate investment products, platform, competitive advantages, business model, and financial results for external audiences. The role is based in New York City.

Successful candidates must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline-oriented collaborative environment. The individual would have the potential opportunity to gain additional investor relations responsibilities within the firm over time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by Harbor Group International.
•Support all aspects of the investor relations and capital raising activities.

•Create and maintain marketing collateral - pitchbooks, conference materials, deal offering memorandums, white papers, annual reports, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), etc. Ability come up with a narrative/messaging around an investment strategy.

•Produce investor communication such as capital calls and distributions, transactions and exits, and other market-related communication.

•Respond to RFPs and due diligence questionnaires from prospective clients and ad-hoc investor inquiry.

•Supporting all aspects of reporting —including preparation of quarterly and annual reporting, investor-specific reports, portfolio summaries, and investment summaries.

•Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of HGI product offerings, industry trends, competitive landscape. Benchmarking and analyzing financial and other relevant data points for HGI and its peers.

•Analyze quantitative and qualitative information including drivers of investment performance, portfolio metrics, and investment strategy positioning.

•Assist in preparation of all materials necessary for any investor meetings, webinars, and events, including the Annual Fund Events.

•Assist with the overall prospect outreach and investor servicing responsibilities.

•Maintain complete ownership of workflows and processes; ensure accuracy of responses and that all deadlines are met timely.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •Minimum of 2-5 years of related professional experience ideally within the real estate or private equity industry and a bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience. Experience in investor relations, capital markets, marketing, or related role desirable.

•Demonstrate a high degree of financial markets and concepts.

•Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills.

•Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills coupled with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

•Strong ability to manage time-sensitive projects through the coordination of multiple resources.

•High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
