Job Summary
Directs metropolitan transportation planning and integration as the outward face of planning for UTA. Advances strategic planning for regional transportation goals through interaction with community and transportation leaders. Fosters positive policies relating to land use and environmental stewardship with an emphasis on UTA’s commitment to social equity. Leads UTA strategic planning and service planning programs consistent with transportation planning priorities. Coordinates efforts of capital development projects with bus and rail service delivery. Oversees develops and makes recommendations to base service levels in accordance with UTA financial goals.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Seven years in strategic transit planning including at least five years managing strategic processes and related work experience. Understanding of federal funding and grant application process. Background and experience in Strategic Planning, Urban Planning, Statistics, GIS, Public Administration, and Economics with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
