ABOUT:

Brookline Investment Group buys and operates multi-family properties in target markets across the United States. Since its founding in mid-2013, Brookline has acquired approximately 3,500 apartment units. Brookline is targeting core, value-add and opportunistic acquisitions of multi-family properties.

Markets Include: Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver/Fort Collins, Raleigh/Durham, Greenville-SC, Salt Lake City and Portland.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aggregate and update property-level data on a weekly basis for asset management purposes.
  • Prepare weekly call agendas for asset manager’s weekly property calls.
  • Organize and present data analysis, draw objective conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Underwrite potential multifamily acquisitions through financial modeling in Excel.
  • Prepare market analysis reports, including comparable rents and sales, vacancy, and absorption/supply.
  • Perform detailed rent roll analysis, maintain and track lease rollovers and items requiring follow-up. Utilize company procedures and tracking methods to meet internal audit requirements.
  • Analyze historical property operating statements, budgets, leases, loan agreements and expenses.
  • Compile and analyze monthly property operating statements for Brookline Investment Group portfolio for internal review.
  • Prepare and track annual budgets, business/leasing assumptions and quarterly reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES:

  • Major in Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including sorting/working with data, and querying data sources
  • Knowledge of real estate financial modeling
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
