POSITION
Redwood is currently seeking to hire an Asset Management Associate with superior analytical skills to assist the team in the financial modeling, underwriting, budgeting and valuation of of a multi-family real estate portfolio. This person should possess a robust analytical background, strong work ethic, and a major focus on attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze and monitor monthly property and portfolio financial performance
  • Assist with the preparation of investor reporting materials on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Update all internal financial models on a monthly and annual basis to include capital projections and forecasting
  • Prepare quarterly and annual asset level valuations and reforecast property and partnership level IRRs
  • Conduct hold/sell/refinance scenario analyses on current portfolio including various debt scenarios
  • Coordinate investor distributions on monthly basis
  • Coordinate investor capital calls on a quarterly basis
  • Conduct various joint venture partnership analyses and waterfall calculations on existing and new investment opportunities
  • Assist with the research and analysis of historical revenue and expense information
  • Compile and research rent and sale comparable properties
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of investment summaries, financial models, and annual property budgets
  • Coordinate annual audits and facilitate information amongst all parties
  • Proactively review current processes for efficiency and identify improvements, standard operating procedures, and best practices
  • Assist on other projects as needed (e.g., investor relations, transactions, property management, budgets, capital improvement plans, construction management, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Extremely detailed oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Superior writing, verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional quantitative modeling and analytical skills
  • Experience in the multifamily sector is preferred (not required)

The candidate should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, accounting, or related field and have 5 years of related analytical experience (real estate, investment banking, and/or private equity).
