Reger Holdings, LLC, a real estate investment and development company is seeking a Construction Project Manager. The firm focuses on commercial and industrial value add real estate investments and quality residential and mixed-use real estate development. Headquartered in Western New York, Reger Holdings has multiple projects in Austin, TX, New England, and the Carolinas. Reporting to the senior management team, the Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the oversight of multiple urban development construction projects in Austin, TX.

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ work experience in construction management
  • Experience and comfort across multiple product and construction types including multi-family, office, hospitality, retail, and urban mixed use
  • Solid track record in land development activities including civil site design and permitting, remediation, municipal consultation, zoning changes and variance requests, project cost projections and proformas, and city/county/state development approval processes and entitlements, as well as land development and construction management
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing along with the ability to manage large projects
  • Exceptional communication, organization and technical skills including reporting software, project tracking and various budgeting models

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver Development projects on time and on budget through actively managing the project from conception through transition to Property Management.
  • Develop project budget including costs of construction, A/E, Wetland, SEQR, development, legal and other relevant services. Create bid requests; evaluate submissions; negotiate contracts awarded; finalize budget.
  • Manage design development from concept through construction documents with the project team. Facilitate the selection process with tenants or internal project team members.
  • Proactively coordinates with Accounting, Asset Management, Leasing, Marketing and Property Management throughout a project to ensure and optimize project success.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with the project team.
  • Conduct site-visits as scheduled in the project plan to monitor job progress vs. schedule.
  • Monitor progress toward budget on a weekly basis. Recommend value engineering opportunities and opportunities to manage project expenses. Notify stakeholders of anticipated or actual cost overruns.
  • Simultaneously monitor multiple construction jobs on various projects
  • Lead construction progress meetings
  • Oversee design development
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Provide timely approval of project invoices. Collaborate with Accounting to track costs, hours worked and WIP. Review cost reports for accuracy. Explain variances. Revise cost projections, as necessary.
  • Review project punch list items identified with contractors and/or consultants, including target resolution dates and responsibilities, to ensure all items completed within assigned project time frames.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
